Ah the Good Old Days…

I recently signed up to 64 Million Artists, a national campaign to unlock the creativity of everyone in Britain. My first challenge arrived on Friday and it was to think of 5 songs from my past.

1. Misery Business by Paramore

This song is a complete nostalgia trip. Everyone has that one song that reminds them of their teenage years and this is the one for me. It takes me back to side fringes, hoodies, Vans and Converse and waaaay too much black eyeliner. It reminds me of the days when I had nothing to worry about.

2. Golden State by City and Colour

In January 2014, me and best friend went to see City and Colour in London for my birthday. It was incredible and we really enjoyed seeing one of our favourite singers, Dallas Green playing live. Unfortunately, he didn’t play one of my best friends songs and now every time I hear it, I think of her and that night.

3. Magic by Coldplay

This was pretty much the only song I listened to after my break up.

4. We Don’t Have to Take our Clothes Off by Jermaine Stewart

This is mine and my best friend from university’s song. I don’t even remember how it became our song but every time it comes on we have to dance around. Drop everything and dance together.

5. Hideaway by Kiesza

This song followed me and my best friend from school around Amsterdam. We heard it literally everywhere and so every time I hear it now, I’m transported back to Dam. (I wish I was actually teleported there…)

Join in the challenge! I found out about it from my best friend who is an artist. Check out her website, Isla Marie Haddow!
